The CPI organized a protest in Mancherial, urging the government to take action against the rising prices of essential commodities.
In a demonstration held in front of the Collector's office, CPI leaders, led by state executive member Kalavena Shankar, demanded the government regulate the escalating prices of essential goods including gas, petrol, and diesel. The protest involved the submission of a memorandum to AO Rajeshwar Rao.
Shankar criticized the BJP government for its financial policies, stating that while it provides significant loan waivers to corporations, it burdens ordinary citizens with high taxes. He emphasized that the price hikes have severely impacted the lives of the poor and middle class.
The protest underscored the rising costs of daily necessities, with CPI alleging that the government's failure to control prices is leading to a financial crisis for many families. Shankar called for immediate reductions in the prices of fuel and cooking gas, as well as subsidies for ration items.
The CPI also urged the government to take strict actions against hoarders who are manipulating market prices, further exacerbating the issue for the common citizen.
